Blog Design

Hello Guys!!

I hope you all are doing well on this lovely day! I also hope my peeps living in the south who have experienced snow are safe and sound with no MAJOR mishaps. I have gotten around ok considering I need a brand new set of tires. Bad to the bone I tell ya....bad to the bone!  So anyways this post is about blog designs. Since I began this blog and started writing posts, 35 more than I actually thought I would  EVER write(YAY ME) I knew that if I kept up with it I would eventually want to change the look of things. I have considered doing the work myself....youtube and google my way thru but I don't know if I want to put in the tears to make it look a certain way. I've also looked into purchasing a template or someone to do a site but it can get kinda pricey. For now I think I'm leaning towards the template just to be done and look a little better than the template Blogger has.

One thing I have noticed is that other bloggers have these elaborate websites. That their picture lights up and moves around the page, The different posts are listed with pictures that flash. I think the actual software Flash is overused. Trying to read the content of their pages is hard because I'm having a hard time trying to navigate through your site. Which is a turn-off. You paid all this money for the site to look a certain way, and its elaborate and YOU LOVE IT, BUT I can't read it because I can't get right to the content. Personally I love blogs with simplistic layouts and design. I like blogs that I can scroll down your page and see your posts, they are easy to find. I know haven't been blogging that long, and I may not even have room to say anything but it was something I noticed because I browse A LOT of blogs. The one that have TOO much going on I don't read them. I'm missing out on content that I may love but if I can't find it I won't stay too long.

IF you guys know of any inexpensive templates or tips I can learn to do it myself...PLEASE don't hesitate to let a girl know! Till Next Time!

Love Ya,

DK

Lessons I want To Teach My Kids

Hey guys!

One of the things I'm looking forward to the most and no time soon might I add, are babies!! I love babies and to have a few of my own would be just added blessings to my life. With that being said there are few things that I want to teach them as they grow. I compiled a list of some things I feel like are valuable lessons. When these lessons came to mind there was no particular order just thoughts.

Never trust anyone with color contacts, not even me

Never talk to strangers

Honesty is always the best way to go

Never be ashamed to ask questions if you don't understand

Remember me and your dad will will always be here to support you

Always trust your instincts

Everyone that smiles in your face, doesn't always have your best interest in mind

Trust God

Never trust a big butt and a smile

Always be INDEPENDENT

Where I have been

I have been gone for a while. Due to recent events I will have more time to dedicate to this and my personal life which is wonderful.

He be KNOWING!  We went to dinner, The Georgia Aquarium, saw the Best Man Holiday, and went to the Coca Cola Museum. He also got me a few gifts! He really planned the whole thing....and I was so happy! I cried like a baby when I had to leave him and go back to my life! Long distance is TOUGH!

Just a few more....I promise these will make you smile....if it doesn't....you hate KIDS and dogs! My nephews and my furry son! Don't judge me...He needs a haircut and he just got one Friday I promise! My babies Nicholas and Jacob(Nick in the orange and Jack in the blue)

Whats in my Purse

HEY NOW!!!! ITS BEEN TOO LONG!! Hey guys *waving* hope your holidays were awesome, filled with family and festivities. My holidays were awesome and so glad that things have calmed down around here. Since November, I have celebrated a birthday,  been travelling a lot, working a lot, and being sick A LOT, strep throat is NO FUN.  Since things have slowed down I hope to get back to blogging and building this thing. I was over at  Allison's page and she did a "Whats in my Purse" post and I thought it was cool considering I had only seen it on YouTube. So I figured why not follow suit! So.........

*DISREGARD FLUFFY PUPPY*

1.  My shoes, coach got these for me on birthday trip to Atlanta GA(which I'm going to post soon, with just pictures from the trip). I love these shoes so much so that I don't want to mess them up from driving or getting them wet so I wear another pair and then when I get to where I"m going I switch them out. Am I the only one who does that?

2. My adult sippy cup! LOL.....coach got this in a gift bag from a basketball tournament he went to. He gave me this cup and I take it to work and drink my water out of or anything I'm trying to take with me.

3.This is my travel bag....filled to the brim with "feminine hygiene products"

4. This is a little manicure set I got from a former coworker. Perfect for grabbing hang nails and the little whiskers I get under my chin and neck.

5. My wallet, where all the magic happens

6. My lip balm, is from Bath & Body Works. I'm too lazy to actually look at the title of it....but its their brand. And yes, I'm too lazy to count my earphones as something separate.

7. A little compact from Wal-Mart for like a dollar

8. Lotion, yall I'm so dry....just dry all the time. I stay ashy in the winter time. I hate putting it on under my clothes...its just so uncomfortable. But I don't really like my hands to look like I have been punching bricks.

9. Gloves, sometimes I like to use gloves when my hands GET really cold. These gloves were .94 from Target. The ones that are for smart phones, the thumb and index finger have special fabric or something.  I find they don't work that well....but for .94 they will do.

10. My Pick! So...I'm a natural girl and sometimes I need to pump my hair back up, this does the tricks most times.

So that's about it. I thought I would have way more junk then this, but I just cleaned out my former purse and the new one I put the important stuff in. I guess not enough time to acquire junk.

Wisdom Teeth

Hey guys!!!

I finally got my wisdom teeth removed and they took me out the game. I don't wish that on my worst enemy. The pain has been so OUTRAGEOUS. I'm glad I'm on the up and up! Look forward to posts later on this week.
